APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A former board member with the Hearthstone Historic House in Appleton has now had felony theft charges filed against him, authorities say.
According to a release from the Appleton Police Department, police concluded a comprehensive investigation into a felony theft case involving a 67-year-old Appleton resident who is also a former Hearthstone Historic House board member.

A tip received by the Appleton Police Department sparked the investigation, which identified Steven E. Jahnke as a suspect. Officers say Jahnke was determined to have misappropriated a “substantial amount of money” during his time on the board.
