Christian Anthony Savoie, who was selected as the recipient of the new windows, unfortunately passed away in September after a 15-month battle with melanoma.
Savoie was selected before his passing, and in honor of his life and legacy, the new windows were installed at his family’s home on Tuesday morning.
Savoie served eight years in the Army National Guard and then worked as a volunteer firefighter alongside his career in transportation and logistics. He was honored several times while in uniform:
- Two Army Achievement Medals
- Certificate of Recognition – Montana Army National Guard State Command Sergeant Major
- Certificate of Achievement – 1st Battalion
- 3rd Field Artillery
- Honorable Discharge
Savoie’s wife, Meghan, called it overwhelming but expressed sincere gratitude for the kind gesture, joking about the benefits it’ll have on her energy bill…
