DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The De Pere Police Department is reminding students to take it slow after noticing an increase in fast exits from the high school parking lot during lunchtime.
Officers said they understand the rush to grab lunch at nearby spots like McDonald’s or Kwik Trip, but recently they’ve seen some students speeding out of the lot and committing license or passenger violations along the way.

“We’re not trying to ruin anyone’s lunch run; we just want everyone to make it there and back safely,” the department said.
Police encouraged students to slow down, noting that saving a few minutes isn’t worth the risk of a ticket or crash. They also reminded motorists to check their license restrictions, as probationary licenses limit who can be in the vehicle…
