Brown County officials getting people prepared for winter with emergency kit examples

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – For some people, it’s just like the song says—it’s the most wonderful time of the year, but for others, it’s time to prepare for utter chaos on the roads.

November 17-21, 2025, marks Winter Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin, and Brown County officials gathered on Monday morning to highlight ways to be prepared for Mother Nature’s cruelty in the coming months.

Officials say that the key is to prepare early and often by having a plan and supplies that are capable of handling severe winter weather’s stressors—and making sure you have enough of those supplies.
