(WFRV) – Authorities in Calumet County handed out a 6-point citation for a driver going well above the speed limit.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page about a recent speeding incident. A deputy reportedly stopped a driver north of Brillion for driving 107 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The driver got a 6-point citation and a mandatory court appearance, the release said. The post also mentioned that in Wisconsin, driving 25+ mph over the limit in a 55 mph zone can end up in a driver’s license suspension.
Authorities also provided the following statistics about crashes in Calumet County:
- 76 speed-related crashes
- 24 injuries
- 1 fatality
