UW-Green Bay dropped another tight one to open Paradise Jam play, falling 73-67 to Yale despite a strong second-half push and another big night from Marcus Hall. The Phoenix trailed by nine at the break, saw the deficit stretch to 15, and still battled back to make it a one-possession game with 29 seconds left. But forced to foul late, UWGB couldn’t get the stops they needed as Yale closed it out at the line.
For the second straight game, free throws told the story. The Phoenix went 15-24 (62.5%), while Yale finished 14-19 (73.7%). It’s just a small margin, but that became the difference in a game that came down to a handful of crucial possessions…
