KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WFRV) – One man was sent to the hospital while a cat was rescued from a house fire Tuesday afternoon in Kewaunee.
According to a release from the Kewaunee Police Department, a passerby notified authorities at 2:58 p.m. of a fire at a home on the 1100 block of Ellis Street.
Officials say the same passerby stopped driving, and with the assistance of the homeowner’s son, helped get the 67-year-old homeowner out of the residence.
