A new coffee shop has opened in St. John, in the basement of the historic building that’s home to The Crystal Ballroom.
The Crystal Coffee Shop, W3307 Calumet County B, 3 miles east of Sherwood, opened for business in November. Owners Eric and Dana Krueger, who also own and operate The Crystal Ballroom, opened the shop after seeing a need for it within their own business and the community.
“With our dancers and other visitors, we’ve had a lot of them wishing for a place nearby to get a cup of coffee,” Dana said. “Our basement had this whole section that used to be a kitchen, so Eric and I thought it would be perfect to redo the space and open a little shop instead of people having to travel for a drink.”…
