In a growing era of specialization, there is Kewaunee’s Mitchell Boeder.
At the 2025 WIAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament, Boeder’s year ended with a fourth-place finish on the podium at the Kohl Center. While many of the state’s place winners may have transitioned to offseason wrestling tournaments, Boeder continued to put on the purple and gold of the Storm.
During the track season, he set personal records in the shot put and discus, missing out on the state meet in La Crosse by five feet in the shot put. His senior football season ended with him becoming a two-time team captain, four-time varsity letter winner, two-time unanimous first-team defensive lineman, two-time first-team offensive lineman, two-time Packerland Offensive Lineman of the Year, two-time all-region offensive lineman and an All-State offensive lineman…
