GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The City of Green Bay is reminding residents of changes to garbage and recycling collection around the New Year holiday.
According to the city’s Public Works Department, garbage and recycling will be collected as usual on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

However, New Year’s Day collection on Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be delayed by one day. Thursday’s pickup will take place on Friday, January 2, and Friday’s collection will move to Saturday, January 3.
City officials also note that Green Bay City Hall will be closed on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and place carts at the curb on their adjusted collection days…
