Emplify Health announces 2025’s newborn statistics including top names

(WFRV) – As the youngest and newest residents of Wisconsin were welcomed on Thursday, Emplify Health took the time to compile stats from 2025’s new faces, including the most common names.

In 2025, Emplify Health welcomed over 3,600 newborns, with a slightly higher number of baby boys than girls.

  • 1,763 girls
  • 1,864 boys

The top names for girls were as follows, including ‘variants’:

  1. Lainey/Layne/Laynie, Nora/Norah, Evelyn/Evelynn/Evalynn (all tied for No. 1)
  2. Harper
  3. Emma
  4. Willow
  5. Layla

The boys were as follows:

  1. Hudson
  2. Henry
  3. Cooper
  4. Brooks
  5. Owen

In the release, Emplify Health by Bellin Maternity Team Leader Janet Letter says it’s the go-to for the best names.
