GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Green Bay Metro Fire Department say they responded to over 18,500 calls to service throughout the year of 2025.
According to a release from the GBMFD, firefighters responded to 18,563 calls for service in 2025 throughout the City of Green Bay, the Village of Allouez, and the Village of Bellevue.

Officials say these calls to service included calls for fires (241), emergency medical services (12,269), false alarms (1,171), and a wide range of other incidents (4,882) that required immediate response.
In addition to the calls for service, the GBMFD claims it had a successful year when it came to implementing its “Operation Beep Beep” program. The Operation Beep Beep program is said to be a safety initiative that helps ensure all homes in the greater Green Bay area have working smoke alarms.
Throughout 2025, the GBMFD was able to install 842 smoke alarms, and thanks to a $29,880 FEMA grant, the installations were made at no cost to the residents…
