(WLUK) — Northeast Wisconsin is enduring a brutal cold snap, with wind chills plummeting to as low as negative 40 in Antigo and negative 37 in De Pere early Saturday. Although Extreme Cold Warnings ended Saturday morning, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect through Sunday morning.
Wind chills are expected to drop as low as negative 30 overnight. Highs will offer slight relief, reaching single digits above zero on Sunday afternoon, with double-digit temperatures anticipated as the work week begins. Despite the frigid conditions, the forecast remains dry, with no precipitation expected. Average highs for this time of year are in the mid-20s, but such temperatures are not expected for at least a week.
