1. Sheboygan County housing development being built for families dealing with dementia

A new community, specifically designed for families dealing with dementia, is being built from the ground up in Sheboygan County. The development is called Livasu, and it’s being referred to as the first of its kind in the U.S. It’s located in the Town of Wilson. The idea for it was inspired by a similar model that was created in the Netherlands. The goal is for people with dementia and their partner or children to “live as usual” in a neighborhood with safeguards in place, so they can move freely.
