Luxemburg man jailed as teen dies in Ashwaubenon crash

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) – A Luxemburg man is in jail and faces a requested charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after a teen died in a crash Friday evening.

Brown County Jail records show 69-year-old Douglas James Proehl was booked Friday. He has not been formally charged.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety said a teenage girl was killed and her father was injured after a truck allegedly ran a red light and collided with their vehicle. Investigators said the driver of the truck, a 69-year-old Luxemburg man, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, as alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash…
