Fire in Glenmore displaces family, one firefighter hospitalized for minor injuries

GLENMORE, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire that blocked off parts of Tower Road on Friday evening has left a family without their home and sent a firefighter to the hospital.

According to the Morrison Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched with other agencies around 4:24 p.m., with initial reports indicating a fire that started in an attached garage.

Officials arrived and found that all pets and residents had evacuated, and crews immediately battled the fully involved garage fire that had spread onto the roof.

Crews battled the blaze for over an hour and put out hot spots for over three hours, clearing the scene shortly before 10 p.m. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized; however, no serious injuries were reported…
