Appleton Police Department, U.S. Marshals nab fugitive in joint effort

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one man is now in custody following a joint operation between police in Appleton and U.S. Marshals carried out Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release from the Appleton Police Department, officers, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, conducted a planned arrest operation in the 200 block of West Calumet Street.

Gunman arrested after home invasion and robbery in Wisconsin

Following the joint operation, 21-year-old Isaiah M. Hipp from Appleton was arrested for multiple warrants and several charges, including the following:

  • Flee/eluding
  • Felony bail jumping
  • Second-degree reckless endangering safety

Officials say the Appleton drone team was deployed and traffic was briefly impacted due to a road closure as Hipp attempted to flee from the area.
