Suspect in Oshkosh thefts arrested in Grand Chute

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh police report a man suspected in a series of burglaries and retail thefts this week was arrested in Grand Chute.

Police expect the 35-year-old will be charged with two counts of felony retail theft, two counts of burglary, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Police were investigating incidents that all happened on Tuesday.

The crimes

9:50 a.m.

The suspect walked out of a business on the 2300 block of Westowne Avenue without paying for products that he’d concealed.

10:19 p.m.

A burglary was reported on the 700 block of Nicolet Ave. officers say a masked person with a crowbar tried to break into an ATM.

11:53 p.m.

Police responded to the 2300 block of Westowne Ave. again. Surveillance video and other evidence indicated the shoplifting suspect forced his way into the business with a crowbar.
