A downtown Appleton tourist rooming house that was ordered to cease operation due to building code violations had its appeal of the order denied.
The Appleton Board of Health held a Feb. 11 hearing on the appeal and voted 7-0 to uphold the city’s cease-and-desist order for Stateview Commons’ tourist rooming house on the second floor of 532 W. College Ave.
A property inspection in March determined the tourist rooming house was in violation of building and fire codes.
