Green Bay determines second complaint against Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary was unfounded

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A second complaint against an animal shelter that took in homeless people in extreme cold weather was unfounded, city officials say.

The complaint against Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary was filed regarding the condition of the interior of the building Monday. Cheryl Renier-Wigg of the Community and Economic Development Department said the investigation in that case determined the complaint was unfounded.

A previous complaint did find violations, but those have since been resolved and the complaint has been closed, Renier-Wigg said. No citations or fines were ever issued…
