Multiple Green Bay sewer leaks involving thousands of gallons of wastewater prompt cleanup efforts

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – New Water, the brand of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District crews, along with Green Bay’s Public Works Department, are continuing response and cleanup efforts after 6 sewer leaks were reported Thursday night.

Crews from New Water are cleaning up after an estimated 8,650 gallons of wastewater leaked from several bypass sewer pipes. Nearly 2,200 gallons entered the storm sewer system or the East River.
