A Luxemburg man who worked for a Sister Bay home design and remodeling business is facing a felony charge of theft of almost $175,000 from the business through misrepresentation and fraudulent invoices.
Jeffrey Thomas Jensen, 67, was charged Feb. 16 in Door County Circuit Court with theft in a business setting of more than $100,000, a Class F felony. If convicted, Jensen could face a fine of up to $25,000 and be sentenced to as much as 12 years and six months in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Jensen was an employee of Sister Bay Trading Co. who would call on people who contacted the company for work on their properties.
