DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) – For many Christians, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day period of fasting and prayer ahead of Easter.
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in De Pere offered ashes to go for those who were unable to attend Wednesday morning’s service.
“Sometimes it’s people who find it difficult to get to church, either because of work or school or whatever. Sometimes it’s because of a disability, it’s difficult for them to get to church.
