APPLETON (WLUK) — A former Appleton police lieutenant died in a house fire.
Ronnie C. McIntire, 86, passed away at the hospital after he was removed from his North Meade Street home during a fire on Feb. 18.
The investigation revealed that McIntire made the 911 call reporting a fire in the kitchen area. When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from the roof and search and rescue efforts began. McIntire was removed from the home, was treated on scene, and was transferred to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased…
