APPLETON, Wis–Supporters of the Hearthstone Historic House Museum in Appleton are demanding a change in leadership following the arrest of a Board of Directors member for stealing from the facility. Former Treasurer Steven Jahnke is accused of embezzling $70,000 from the Hearthstone over the course of three years, using museum funds to cover personal expenses.
A group called Friends of the Hearthstone are calling for the removal of all current Board of Directors members and Executive Director George Schroeder.
