MOSINEE — Paper maker Ahlstrom announced Wednesday that it plans to close and idle part of its facility in Mosinee, however Thilmany Mill in Kaukauna is unaffected.
The company announced in a news release that it is closing its Mosinee pulp mill and two older paper machines this year, while upgrading the two remaining paper machines with advanced technologies and automation.
A letter obtained by WAOW-TV in Wausau sent to suppliers also states Ahlstrom’s Thilmany mill in Kaukauna will “continue its full scope of operations.”…
