A campaign to start a new Christian school is underway, with a planned opening date sometime in 2028 – although plans are still in the very early stages.
The school is called Comenius Academy, after Czech religious leader and educational reformer John Comenius. According to the school website, the school aspires to give an education that’s “soul first, future ready.”
The two founders of the school are U.S. Venture chief marketing officer Bill Ryan and the Rev. Dennis Episcopo, pastor emeritus at Appleton Alliance Church. Their goal is to enroll over 1,000 kindergarten through sixth-grade students at the school by 2028 and over 2,000 in kindergarten through 12th grade by 2030, which would make Comenius Academy one of the largest Appleton-area parochial school systems within five years…
