People of Progression spotlights advocacy, entrepreneurship in northeast Wisconsin

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – A northeast Wisconsin organization is working to expand advocacy services and community connection for youth, adults, and victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

People of Progression was created to increase support and advocacy services across those groups. Executive Director Kristen Kelly said the organization addresses a gap in services for marginalized communities in the region.

“It’s especially important for Northeast Wisconsin to have advocacy services not only for Black populations, but for marginalized communities who often fall within the gap,” Kelly said. “The organization works to fill that gap — walking alongside mainstream services.”
