A nonprofit in Appleton is closing March 20 after loss of funding

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Community Action for Healthy Living (CAHL), a substance misuse prevention and community health organization based in Appleton, will close March 20, 2026.

The organization said the decision followed an evaluation of its long-term sustainability, including the loss of critical funding and grants.

“For years, CAHL has empowered individuals, families and communities to lead healthier lives through education, advocacy and collaboration,” Executive Director Emma Kane said. “We are deeply grateful to all of our staff, volunteers, donors and partners who have supported our mission and made our work possible.”
