OCONTO FALLS – Residents from Oconto County towns without designated public libraries used over 41,300 Brown County library check-outs in 2024, contributing to a $235,135 bill delivered to Oconto County Clerk Kim Pytleski. The amount is larger than Oconto Falls Community Library’s entire annual budget.
Of the total billed, $164,594 — or 70% — is due by March 1, according to a memo Pytleski received in June 2025. The cost per physical check-out was $5.67 in 2024, according to a public document.
