Officer shoots dog during attack at Fox Crossing park

FOX CROSSING, Wis. (WBAY) – A Fox Crossing police officer discharged their service firearm Saturday morning to stop a dog from attacking another dog and its owner at Fritsch Park, according to the Fox Crossing Police Department.

What happened

Officers were dispatched to the park at approximately 11:30 a.m. March 7 after receiving reports of a dog at large.

Preliminary information indicated the dog had a prior history of aggressive behavior, including a documented 2025 incident in which the dog got loose and attacked another dog and its owner.
