A Greenfield man was sentenced March 13 to over two decades in prison for stabbing and robbing a 57-year-old man in December 2024, an act the prosecutor and judge described as “cruel and grave.”
On Jan. 15, after four days of trial, a Brown County jury convicted 31-year-old Jaharrie Jelks of all six counts he was charged with: attempted first-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon, bail jumping, driving a vehicle without consent and armed robbery with the threat of force, according to court records.
