Brown County woman sentenced to 7 years for 80 mph crash in downtown Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A Brown County woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison after driving nearly 80 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone and crashing into eight vehicles during a felony eluding incident in downtown Fond du Lac.

Kaitlynn Ray of De Pere was sentenced to seven years of initial confinement, seven years of extended supervision and four years of probation after being convicted of nine counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and OWI second offense – causing injury. She faced a maximum sentence of more than 70 years.

The charges stem from a June 3, 2025 incident in which Ray fled from law enforcement through downtown Fond du Lac while under the influence of marijuana. Prosecutors said she endangered pedestrians and motorists as she sped down Main Street on a busy Friday night…
