No Wake order issued in Outagamie County

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. — Due to rising water levels, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office has issued a No Wake order for all waterways in Outagamie County, effective immediately.

According to Outagamie Ordinance Sec. 34-25: “During a declared flood emergency no person shall operate a boat faster than slow-no-wake in the waters of Outagamie County whenever traveling within 500 feet of any permanent building, structure, bridge, or pier. This does not include a floating raft.”

The Sheriff’s Office utilizes the National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service’s Shiocton Location to monitor waterway levels…
