‘The Good Painter’ donates time, materials to domestic violence shelter

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – A local man is painting rooms at a domestic violence shelter to give back to the community. He’s known as “The Good Painter,” and he does this service completely free of charge.

Thursday afternoon, Chandler Donati donated his time and skill at Harbor House, a shelter that helps survivors of domestic violence.

“One of the things, especially with domestic violence, is that a lot of times kids can’t be kids. They get drawn into, and they’re also impacted trauma wise by everything that happens in the home. And when they have to leave home, which is everything that they know, and come to a place like Harbor House, it’s very stressful. And for us to be able to provide a space for kids to be kids, to be able to play and be with other kids and feel good for me it’s life changing,” Tracy Plamann said…
