(WTAQ-WLUK) — Amid allegations of misusing taxpayer money, Newcap has decided to close its doors immediately and started informing employees Tuesday morning they no longer have a job.
This comes following a report from two weeks ago stating that operations would cease at the end of June.
It’s unclear how many people Newcap currently employs, but earlier this year former CEO Cheryl Detrick said the organization employed about 100 people between seven office locations in its 10-county service area…
