Plea negotiations continue in case of woman accused of stabbing fiancé

GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Plea discussions and pre-trial preparation both continue for Tonia Piontek, who allegedly fatally stabbed her fiancé.

Piontek, 46, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the April 13, 2025, incident at the couple’s Smith Street home in Green Bay.

Defense attorney Bradley Schraven said he needs to discuss a plea offer with his client. At the same time, the defense’s expert on domestic violence is still working on a report.
