FREMONT, Wis. — The severe weather is over for now, but parts of northeast Wisconsin are facing more bad news. Areas along the Wolf River that have been hit hardest by days of heavy rains are preparing for more flooding.
Volunteers in the Village of Fremont are still filling sandbags even after these last rounds of rain. That’s because emergency officials said that, even though the rain has stopped, the Wolf River is expected to swell.
“The water is still coming down. The amount of flooding that has come through is Unreal. The river has not crested yet,” Debbie Walrath, an EMS Volunteer with the Fremont/Wolf River Department, said…
