SHIOCTON, Wis. — The recovery continues for communities along the Wolf River that are still drying out following record flooding in mid-April. The Wolf River reached a new record height of over 15 feet on April 17. That led to flooded streets and homes in towns and villages along the river banks in New London, Fremont and Shiocton.
Earlier this week, FEMA officials began their assessments of flood damage in those Outagamie and Waupaca County communities. They’ll be working to help the state determine whether to request a federal disaster declaration.
