OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Multiple road construction projects are underway in Outagamie County, with work scheduled to continue through fall 2026.
WIS 96 rehabilitation
A two-mile rehabilitation project along WIS 96 from Casaloma Drive to North Badger Avenue in the town of Grand Chute is scheduled from April 1 to Oct. 31. Work includes base patching, mill and overlay, and bridge painting of the existing girders for the I-41 structures over WIS 96.
From May 11 to May 15, crews will be sawcutting WIS 96 inside and outside westbound and eastbound lanes from Casaloma Drive to Lynndale Drive. Crews will be completing base patching at various locations and continuing to install storm sewer throughout the project. Bridge painting operations will continue for the I-41 structures over WIS 96.
WIS 96 will have various inside and outside lane closures from Casaloma Drive to Lynndale Drive. The I-41 southbound off-ramp to WIS 96 left turn lanes will be closed with a detour in place via I-41 south to WIS 125 east to I-41 north to rejoin WIS 96. The WIS 96 westbound left turn lane at I-41 is closed for storm sewer replacement with a detour via WIS 96 west to County CB south WIS 125 east back to I-41 southbound.
