Community Service Officers in Appleton rescue injured sandhill crane

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Recently, some Community Service Officers in Appleton helped to save an injured sandhill crane.

A Facebook post from the Appleton Police Department detailed the rescue, stating, “Serving with compassion means helping wherever it’s needed, even for our local wildlife.”

The officers worked together to safely capture the crane and take it to the rehabilitation team at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
