Graham man facing 24 charges in BB gun shooting

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A Graham man is facing two dozen charges after a BB gun shooting near Saxapahaw, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 10:11 p.m. on Sunday, deputies came to the 5900 block of Church Road after getting a report of a BB gun striking several people.

Witnesses reported that Mickey Andrew Cox, 28, of Graham, who lived near the area, was the shooter, according to the sheriff’s office. There had been a history of issues with Cox.

Cox was later taken into custody and charged with 19 counts of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of felony assault on an individual with disability and three counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property.

He is being held in the Alamance County Detention Center without bond. None of the injuries as a result of the shooting are reported to be serious…
