Man charged after pedestrian hit, killed in Burlington on North Church Street, police say

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man faces multiple charges after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Burlington earlier this month, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

On June 20, around 9:21 p.m., Burlington officers responded to the intersection of US 70 at North Church Street and Nike Drive when they were told two pedestrians had been hit.

Investigators say Jeron Ricole Robertson, 34, of Durham, hit the two pedestrians when they were crossing the 2400 block of North Church Street at US-70 while he was going east on the same road.

Curtis Lee Ridgeway, 53, of Burlington, was pronounced dead at the scene…
