HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The Piedmont will continue to feel the heat and oppressive humidity.
Friday will be mostly sunny with morning temperatures in the mid-70s. The heat index or feels-like temperatures on Friday morning will be near 80 degrees. Friday afternoon will be extremely hot with highs around 100 degrees. Our feels like temperature on Friday afternoon could be as high as 105 degrees. If you have to do anything outside on Friday, do it early in the morning before 10 am or very late on Friday evening.
Fourth of July Saturday will be another dangerously hot and humid day. Look for mostly sunny skies with lows in the mid-70s with highs in the upper 90s to lower 100s. A lot of people will want to get outside and celebrate the Fourth of July. If you are outside, please be safe. Stay hydrated, take lots of breaks in the shade.
