KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place in Kernersville on Tuesday night.
At around 11:16 p.m. on Tuesday, a Kernersville Police Department officer saw a blue Honda Accord speeding southbound on South Main Street. The officer saw the car weaving in and out of the travel lane.

The officer then pulled the car over at the intersection of South Main Street andOld Winston Road on suspicion that the driver might be impaired.
Investigators say that as the officer approached the car, they found the driver, 29-year-old Destiny Sanyee Fewell, exhibiting “exhibited belligerent and uncooperative behavior.”
