Forsyth County teacher earns doctoral degree while battling cancer

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A Winston-Salem fourth-grade teacher will start the school year with a new title after her years-long battle with health issues.

Jeanette Williams Stamper works as an expanded impact teacher at Kimmel Farm Elementary School. She started her career at the location in 2023.

Her experience in Winston-Salem adds to her 27 years of teaching in various areas, including the Cayman Islands and Virginia. She also taught in her home country of Jamaica.
