(WGHP) — Billy Strickland knew she couldn’t let the opportunity pass even though she was nervous about sharing a vulnerable part of her life with others.
“It’s not about me now. I really want to help. I want to help other women because I don’t want people to go through what I went through. If I had to go through it to help the next person, then I’m proud of that,” she said.
Strickland was determined to take the stage as the keynote speaker at the first Pathway of Hope Woman of Worth Dinner, which was hosted by the Salvation Army of Alamance County.
