Experience butterflies from all over the world this summer at the North Carolina Zoo

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – Looking to let the stress of the day go and get in touch with nature? A trip to the Kaleidoscope Butterfly Garden at the North Carolina Zoo should do the trick.

UNCG professor inspires others through the language of art

One of the more popular summer exhibits at the North Carolina Zoo is a trip through the Kaleidoscope Butterfly Garden, which allows visitors to take a stroll through the natural habitat of hundreds of butterflies from around the world.

North Carolina Zoo exhibit keeper Bob Roberts said that in addition to indigenous species, there are also butterflies from Asia, South America and Africa that make their home in the garden.

The winged travelers arrive at the zoo as pupae before making their final transformation. They are released into their new habitat by the keeper staff into the exhibit, which occurs over a two-to-three-day period…
