BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman has been charged after allegedly driving the wrong way on the interstate and failing to stop for deputies.
According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, early Monday morning, around 1:45 a.m., they received multiple 911 calls about someone driving east in the westbound lanes on Interstate 40/85 near Burlington.
A nearby deputy, Deputy Louizes, began searching for the wrong-way driver with lights and sirens activated. The deputy saw the white Mercedes going the wrong way near exit 145 and attempted to stop the driver, who did not heed the lights and sirens…
