GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The City of Greensboro decided more time was needed to pull off its plan for the South Elm Street Pedestrian Plaza Pilot Program, which was originally scheduled to take place on Monday, Aug. 3.

To further expand the South Elm Street Pedestrian Plaza Pilot Program, the event will be rescheduled to a date to be determined.
Greensboro City Manager Trey Davis decided to direct staff to extend the community input period before the operation moved forward after receiving feedback from downtown business owners and residents over the past several weeks.
To better prepare and expand engagement, Davis and his staff decided it was in the best interest of everyone involved to take more time to plan for the program to ensure success…
